European Grid Infrastructure

Description: was established as a Dutch Foundation - an independent legal entity – in February 2010 and is located at the Science Park in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Its main objective is to coordinate pan-European distributed computing activity within Europe on behalf of its stakeholders (NGIs, EIROs, and others). It is independent of any particular institute or application community. employs around 20 members of staff providing administrative and technical coordination to the EGI Community. is currently the coordinating partner of the 25 m€ EGI-InSPIRE project and the eScienceTalk project.
