Ethical Governance Committee

The Ethical Governance Committee is an advisory body to the Executive Steering Committee. The committee comprises experts nominated by each of the Biomolecular Sciences (BMS) Research Infrastructures for which the management of personally identifiable data is an issue (BBMRI, EATRIS, ECRIN). In addition, a member nominated by EMBRC will cover any environment-related issues that may arise. The committee is chaired by the BioMedBridges Coordinator.

Other members of the project, other representatives of the beneficiaries and of the BMS Research Infrastructures, as well as ethics, data protection and governance experts, may be co-opted onto the Ethical Governance Committee to deal with particular issues as and when necessary.

The committee provides oversight of the ethical issues that may arise in the implementation of the project and ensures the implementation of and adherence to the Ethical Governance Framework.
